Toyota of Erie - 2025 Toyota Camry Review
The much-anticipated 2025 Toyota Camry is currently in preproduction and will be available to Toyota of Erie customers at some point in 2024. Our dealership will soon be accepting preorders for custom factory orders, and this early 2025 Toyota Camry review is an opportunity to discuss what we know so far. The new model with launch an all-new ninth Camry generation, and Toyota has decided to pare back the trim selection at least for the inaugural model year. The LE will serve as the well-equipped and affordable base trim. The SE will be a sport sedan variant of the LE. The XLE is a luxe trim based on the LE and which adds a range of amenities and technologies, and the XSE is a sportier variant of it.
Interior
Interior dimensions for the 2025 Toyota Camry remain the same as the previous generation. This is a two-row, five-passenger sedan. Headroom is 38.3 inches in the front row and 38.0 inches in the rear. Front legroom is 42.1 inches. Rear legroom is 38.0 inches, and trunk space is 15.1 cubic feet. The design of the cabin, however, has been extensively overhauled. Build material quality is higher throughout, and the design is not only more modern but more comfortable and convenient. Standard features include dual-zone automatic climate control with rear vents, a center infotainment touch screen, a wireless charging pad and a six-speaker sound system. The SE adds simulated leather upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The XLE and XSE add leather seating and a larger touch screen.
Exterior
One of the most exciting aspects of this 2025 Toyota Camry review is the dramatic exterior makeover. Form factor remains the same. The Camry is a four-door midsize sedan with a 5.7-inch minimum ground clearance, a 111.2-inch wheelbase and 192.1-inch length, which is a tad more than 16 feet overall. The SE and XSE have sportier appearance packages, and the XSE in particular has a rear spoiler. The LE has LED exterior lighting and 16-inch alloy wheels. The SE and XLE have 18-inch alloy wheels. The XLE has more exterior chrome, and the XSE adds 19-inch wheels.
Mechanical
Every 2025 Toyota Camry will come with a smart key and a push-to-start button. Keyless entry is included with the XLE and XSE. Those trims also give you the option of a Digital Key that lets you use your smartphone in place of a key fob.
Powertrain
One of the notable changes for the new Camry is that every model sold and leased through Toyota of Erie will have a hybrid powertrain. Front-wheel drive will be standard. Electronic on-demand all-wheel drive will be available with the Camry for the first time ever. FWD models will make 225 hp. AWD models will make 232 hp.
Safety
An 8-inch infotainment touch screen will be standard and a 12.3-inch infotainment touch screen will be optional. Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard. It has a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, full-speed radar-based adaptive cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, road sign assist, automatic high beams and proactive driving assist. An optional suite available with the XLE and XSE will add traffic jam assist, front cross-traffic alert, lane change assist, front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking and a panoramic monitor as an upgraded to the standard rearview monitor.
